How do I convince my husband to get out of biz with a jerk?

I have asked previous questions before about this biz and the partner but i will repeat the situation. We are having legal trouble with our biz and my hubby and his partner own it. His partner for the past year has been a bossy loud moronic impulsive jerk the whole time. His girlfriend of 11 months wanted to be the silent owner while the boys got the legal stuff out of the way. I could not do so because i worked there while all these legal issues rose and i am involved so i can not be on any accounts. The girl friend up until last week was not even on their mortgage because the guy did not trust her. He is only with her for 11 months and we said hell no. Well they are pissed. It seems they have another motive that is extremely dishonest and calculated. I feel my husband is smart enough, honest enough and capable to run his own thing. I would help in every way. How do i get him to realize this guy is going to probaly be very dishonest in the long run? he knows him since 1st grade.How do I convince my husband to get out of biz with a jerk?
The Question that you got to ask is it to late that you have Sign your life away . Trust/Mortgage/ Legal stuff out of the way /Silent Owner/ Did not Trust her/ Motive that is extremely Dishonest /Jerk. Well my answer is ';STOP'; Entertaining this , CAN of WORMS ! Your words that you must use is INVESTIGATE their MOTIVE `S .So you may have to seek legal advice and or just STOP and then WATCH . Don`t Talk , Don`t do anything that will agitate them Better to loose a little then loose it all . Remember Stupid is everywhere even in the first grade. If it's that bad, get out of it. If there are legal problems, there's reason enough.
I don't know what kind of legal trouble your hubby's business has, but is it possible that the partner is responsible?? There are multiple options for your hubby. He can sell his half of the business. He can sign his half of the business over to his partner (or the girlfriend). He could even just dissolve the company. The only reason people become like the partner has is if they are doing something that they know is wrong. Your hubby needs to be given the confidence to be in business on his own. The stress he is going through now is pulling him down. Knowing the guy since the first grade, though, means that convincing hubby to ditch him will be difficult. All you can do is keep pointing out that this guy is hurting him. It may be that your hubby will have to learn the hard way. Let your hubby look at the answers you recieve. Let him know how seriously concerned you are about this situation.

but seriously, quite possibly the only way he'll learn his lesson is when the company goes belly-up...its just what happens when people have been friends for so long and refuse to see the honest truth about who their dealing with...

hire a lawyer and get rid of you husband take all the money that you can get and when there is no more then get back with your husband and move away, to another state. let the other guy worry about all the bills and legal problems and his girl friend. move while you still can.
Freinds and business don't mix. In fact, it's a sure way NEVER to be friends again. I would offer to buy him out.

If you are like my wife you are usually right about things so make a point by bringing up old things you where right about but make sure you are both relaxed and calm when you talk
