If you were planning a romantic getaway with your husband, where would you go?

I'm looking for ideas. Dates are pretty open.

New England area (MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME, NY)If you were planning a romantic getaway with your husband, where would you go?
Woodstock, VT, is a charming little town, with nifty shops and galleries, history, hiking, and in the winter skiing. Lots and lots of B%26amp;Bs there for lodging.

Ogunquit, ME, is also pretty--right along the Maine coast, but not so far north as to be a hugely long drive.

If you like being in the middle of nowhere and a little bit on the old fashioned, casual side, look at Winter Clove Inn, in the NY Catskills. Very family friendly. Lots of hiking trails that leave right from the inn, and various things to do a short drive away. Not at all programmed and very relaxed, so if you're looking for lots of excitement and activities, this is not the place for you.

Have fun!If you were planning a romantic getaway with your husband, where would you go?
The cancellation fee is if something comes up and you need to cancel. You have to do so 7 days in advance. I just found their polices too strict.

South Carolina for leisure and homes, seafood and water, Conneticut if you like quaint places and shops, Maine for the seafood, Fort Lauderdale or the Keyes if you like water and food and snorkeling, etc. Tennessee for the mountain waterfalls but they may not be there because of the water shortage now. ( but they have great Parks there too). Natchez, MS for the antiques, history, quaint homes and shopping. And what's a nice trip without San Antonio and the romantic water ride through the city starting from the mall? Maybe a stop at a restaurant over the water, then continuing the water ride in the evening with the lights on. AWESOME. Just be sure you book it right. Where you can get on and off and then on and off at night.

I'm a southern Belle! :)
Pretty much anywhere that we could be alone. I've always wanted to go to Cape Cod (but I know you live in MA and it probably isn't as appealing to you). My neice and nephew-in-law went to the Pocono Mountains in PA for their honeymoon and I guess it was beautiful there... I also like the Finger Lakes region of NY, Letchworth State Park, NY... Alleghany State Park, NY... These are all places that are relatively local for me though and I'm not sure if they're actually worth the amount it would cost to travel there. Look them up online though, they may appeal to you. I personally would just love to be on the ocean going deep sea fishing and whale watching, but thats because I can't get that here...
The White Mountain range.

I recommend NH, VT or Western Mass. with NH as my first pick.

In NH, there will be no sales tax and you will have many beautiful places to visit. You can go horseback riding, take a ride on the cog railroad, swim or hike. I grew up close to the Conway area. It is so beautiful.

ps

Many people go for their honeymoon in the White Mountains.
Go to Foxwoods, get a great hotel room, go to the spa there and get dual massages, enjoy a great dinner at the Cedar Steak House. See a show and gamble a little bit, it can be really romantic there. Newport, Cape Cod, and Lake George are nice too.
Maine!! I'm not sure why, but somewhere close to a beach that has a beautiful lighthouse on it.
