How can we acquire a residence visa in Dubai? My husband will be transfered there in a permanent position.?

My husband's company will be transfering my husband in their Dubai office, its a permanent position. He'll be leaving soon. Is there a possibility that we can also join him there? Its really hard when families are apart, we have a son and we really wanted the family to be together. What are the things we have to do (legal actions) so we can also be with my husband.. Your husband has to be completed the residence permit formalities after he reached in Dubai. Once it has been done, he can apply visa for you and son. I would suggest you to get attested your marriage certificate from the UAE embassy/consulate, at your country of origin.

Your husband's company is solely rersponsible for providing resident's visa for both him and you - and any dependants. You should have to do ... nothing. It will all be done for you.

of course you can join him. Get your papers ready for your and your son's residence permit. I don't know how old your son is, but he needs a passport on his own. Then have your marriage certificate and his birth certificate confirmed.

You can enter the UAE on a visit visa and have this later transferred to a Residence Visa. This usually can take up to 4 weeks. If you arrive after your husband/sponsor, it is the best if you arrive after he received his residence visa as your residence visa can then be procesed prior your arrival. This option saves the extra step of converting a visit visa to a residence visa.





The HR Department of your husband's company in Dubai will apply for his and maybe also your residence visa or at least assist him with that.

- Passport copy of the sponsor.....(your husbands)

- Approved marriage contract.





- Birth certificates for the children whom under 18 years old.





For sons above 18 years study certificate from approved university inside the country.





- Work contract if he is working in private company and salary certificate if he is working in the government and his salary must not be less than 3000AED+ accommodation or 4000AED.
